Families with a child who has emotional or behavioral issues may have feelings of anger, guilt, fear, and frustration. Some feel isolated and distressed because their child has been labeled by others due to their outbursts or violent mood swings. CARES was developed specifically for theses families, and this program has made a transformational difference in the lives of nearly 200 children each year since its inception.

CARES Center offers a 60-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility located in Jackson, Mississippi. While residing at CARES Center, each child receives comprehensive assessments and individualized strengths-based treatment planning as well as different types of therapy that include, but are not limited to, individual, group and family therapy.

For admissions into CARES Center your child must be a Mississippi resident age 6 € “ 17 with an IQ above 61. Further information includes the recommendation and clinical information supporting the need for a long-term residential treatment with diagnosis on all 5 axes by a psychiatrist or psychologist within the last 60 days.
